I don't have a maxx to check, but will the stock stampede hex fit on the maxx axle stub?

there is a couple options i can think of. use maxx to clod adapter like he said or use a 6mm drill to bore out a 12mm hex. This would weaken it so if you can use an aluminum one. Or try to find a car with a 12mm hex with a 6mm bore. Or if you have a lathe you can shave 1mm off the maxx axles to make them 5mm.

check to make shure the pillow block/ spindle thing will hace enough clearance in the rim, or if you use widening adapters if it will bring it out past the inside of the rim.
