The twin force comes with a 14mm to 17mm hex adapter right out of the box. so any 14mm or 17mm wheel will bolt up to it. 14mm is the common size for say an Emaxx.....

WRONG! The standard MT wheel for Kyosho's "Forces" are 19mm, and 17mm ones will NOT fit unless you get some buggy hubs. Ofna makes some Monster Pirate wheels with the 19mm hex if you really want them ('bout $13 a pair on Tower), then you could run either Monster Pirate tires or any Jumbo flavor of Imex treads.

Huh.... guess I was wrong... Well what ever that larger size is, they come with a plastic adpater that had 14mm hex under it. I know that for sure since I bolt my Monster GT (BFT's) to my buddies Twinforce to double check the width compared to my clod with ace wheel adapters (12mm to 14mm) .

Yeah, I thought it was 17mm too........but then my 17mm Monster Pirate wheels didn't fit, and I found out they're 19mm. Sorry if I came off kinda harsh there, I would hate to have a guy purchase the wrong crap for his rig!

Also make note of the offset. Standard maxx rims will most likely have clearence issues. High offsets like Maximizer's X75 beadlocks work great for me.

Can I ask what the point of adding Savage axles is?

I think it puts the axle pin out a little more, or something to do with widening.

It does NOT move the axle pin out at all, the Savage axles are stronger because Kyosho axles are hollow all the way to the outer side of the pin hole. Some guys have not had any problems running the Kyosho ones but the first time out with my TF I broke one in a situation that shouldnt have caused it to break. Couldnt believe stock ones are hollow. Needless to say I now have Savage axles installed.

Yeah, that would have been my other guess.......strength. I got a Twin with what I think are the stock axles, haven't been a problem yet. Then again, it's been stuck in a never ending teardown to make it a better basher, so I have yet to really test them. You think Monster Pirate wheels and tires combined with jumping would hurt them?
