Default Tap a hiem?

I have experience taping plastic and alloy but havent tried steel or titanium. Is it possible to tap the ball inside the hiem joint? How do you hold the ball from spinning? The hiems I use currently are alloy body and steel ball(Simple Clod Based Rig1.2).

I'm not sure it's possible because there is no way to hold the ball, like you said.

Usually the balls are hardened too.
