| Dimple Die's?
Does anyone use, know how to get, or have the ability to make small dimple dies? , I'm considering using some for a scale type build for strenght and also just for the "cool" factor.

Buy a machine bolt and nut, what ever size you want the hole to be, this one is a 1/4". Drill out the top of the nut so it is tapered, then drill a hole and bolt the nut on really hard and you've got a dimple died hole. Super cheap too. Here's an example of some I did on a tuber I built. Spyder Customs Bruiser Tuber |

| slowkrawl: it takes a piece of flat sheetmetal and by "dimpling" it it gives it some rigidity so that it doesent flex, they use it on real 1:1's, and race cars and you even see it on some street cars usually on the rear axle of a small front wheel drive car

Damn thats a really cool idea! Dimple Die holes always look so bad ass on 1:1 rigs, this is a great easy way to add them to rc. |

yardstore.com is an aircraft building supply place and they sell little tiny dimple dies. They are about $15 for one, so the countersunk bolt trick is cheaper, but these would be the most repeatable results. Plus, you can get them for many different hole sizes. Here is a link to the 3/16 size: http://www.yardstore.com/browse.cfm/4,3710.html |

rok dok these should work in a small arbor press (little modification mabey) and harbour freight often has a small arbor press on sale cheap and I could think of so many other things I could do with it, or you could justt drill some holes in a block of wood or metal for the posts that come out the back of these and use them in a vice | |

I've been considering making one, but haven't yet & for $15 that's likely not to happen
