Default Making threads in stainless steel

So I wanna make some threads in some stainless steel rods for some links I wanna make, I have a grizzly 7x12 so can cut threads that way, just wondering if there is a die I can use that can handle making threads on stainless steel ? Looking to make m2 x.4 and m3 x .5

I think i have a spare m2 button die and holder at work. i'l look tomorrow. Singletooling a thread that small to size is a beehotch. On something like this i would singletool enough to start the die, run the die on, then turn the die around to thread as close to the shoulder as possible. As for cutting lube, Castrol moly D is great stuff for harder metals like stainless. Do you know what grade stainless you are using?

Yeah lmk, it's 304, my location really makes it a beoch to find stuff locally and when I do 2-300% mark up is not uncommon

Do what? cutting threads is cutting threads.

When I cut threads or tap in stainless, even harder stainless like nitronic,I use a 70/30 mix of way oil and tap magic. Works very well for me.

Most any high quality thread cutting die will cut stainless.Just make sure it's H.S.S. (high speed steel) and make sure it's a thread "cutting" die and not a thread "chasing" die.Look on J&L supply's website or MSC's website.
