Default How thick of sheet metal???

Hey, how thick of sheet metal do you guys use to make your belly plates and plates for adjustable shock mounts?? And how thick for body panels, including hood

I use 16ga. cold rolled for my shock mounts, upper links and skid plate mount. I use Delrin for the skid itself. Body panels, I use 24ga. paintloc or aluminum or lexan.

i used plastic pail lids for all my body panels and link plate for my ESC, cuts real easy with hobbie knife..............bob

he did use pail lids and there still looking pretty good after a few months of hard core crawling -
and all the cuts on his fingers are healed now from making the first ones- lol

use 26 ga stainless, it slides well. roll ends so they wont hang up...
