Yes it does, but be VERY careful when using it on parts that have threads cut in them. I ruined a VP motor plate, it ate all the treads along with the anodizing.

Anodizing is part of the finished surface. When you remove anodizing, you're actually removing the surface layer. It's minuscule, but a bit too much and tolerances go to hell. I've wrecked a few parts, but unless the fit is super-critical, it's not a big deal.

had a hard time picking up the detail with my cheap camera. anyway i have Used Grease lightning before. Took a little while seem to work pretty well. I'm all out of that. Found some really old easy off under the sink thought I would give it a try. Took the stuff off after a while. To take a bit longer than grease lightning. Only walked away for 10 or 15 min. As you can see some of anodizing is still there. Some of the other parts got discolored. I thought it would take it to a natural aluminum color. Didn't pit the aluminum but there's been a natural color mixed in with darker color.. What would cause that? Is there a way to get rid of it? Thanks

Just hit them with the polishing wheel or give them a brushed finish and the dark spots will disappear.
