I would get this one, it is more, but I have found that variable speed is the way to go.

If price is the deal. I found one at Wal-Mart. It's some off brand one. But it only cost 20 bucks. And I have used it nonstop for a long time with no problems. It came with 100 pcs, stand, and a flex cord. Hell you can't beat 20 bucks.

I've collected a handful of Dremels over the years.

My favorite is my Model #398.

With other variable speed Dremels the slide switch became so worn over time that it'd easily slide from one rpm setting to the next. What a PITA when you're working with it.

With the digital this isn't a concern.

If you're looking to get a Dremel, go ahead and get the Flex Shaft attachment. Dremels get rather hot after they've been used for a while. The Flex Shaft keeps the heat out of your hands.

Honestly, I forget how much it was. Bought it a couple of years ago as a kit at Sears, if I remember right.
