Depends what you're going to use it for. It works in a pinch. It isn't the prettiest or best stuff to work with.

I was going to use it to fill in some spots. Didn't know how durable it was.

Where on you axles did you use it? Got any pictures?

Sweet, so you pretty much use it to smooth everything out? What kind of prep work do you do? Scuff it?

I've used JB Weld to fill gaps in tube work, to "cap" the open ends of tubes, etc. It's very durable, but the set time is slow. So you have to either let it set up halfway before you apply it or set your work upright so the JB doesn't slowly flow back out. Once it's set up it's hard as a rock, it can be filed or sanded smooth.

I thought about making an entire chassis out of tubing, with the joints pinned together and JB Welded. I learned to braze for real so I never tried it...

I've used JB Weld Quick to temporarily seal a cracked Audi aluminum oil pan and it worked perfectly. On my crawler...not so good. Although one of my links stripped and it's been holding it together for a couple months.
