Question Butane Vs. other torches for tuber work

Aside from the actual gas differences, whats the diff for using an inexpensive refillable butane torch from welding depot (at $25 for the kit) to using a more expensive mapp/oxy torch kit? the butane torch heats to over 2300degrees, where as the brazing rod melts at about 1350?

Opinions?

Those small butane units just don't get the working area hot enough, they only work for crack pipes and such. You need something with more btu's like mapp/oxy.
