Benders are cheap and nice, a vice is always helpful!

I use a bandsaw and a bench grinder more than any other tools.

I am looking for a good tube bender also, I have jury rigged different things to get it done till now with decent results. When bending tube you need to keep it from kinking, support it all the way around as best you can and give it a go. If you are using rod I have found that a Mapp torch, vise, and different size sockets works very well. Just make sure you cool the rod in a cup of water to "harden"? it again.

A ghetto rigged bender can be made fairly easily... JFAB, a vendor here, used to carry one - you guys might check that out. |
