| Anyone have this Scroll Saw? http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/cta...emnumber=93012 Thinking about getting it or something similar. I think it would be perfect for delrin. |

spend the extra 35 bucks and get the skil scroll saw from lowes. Works great with delrin. I would buy something that has a 'decent' name brand. There are alot of things I buy from harbor frieght, but power tools ain't one of em.

That saw posted is a Chinese 60 day wonder. I have a Dremel Scroll saw that has been used a lot in the past 15 years. Never a problem with it. Mine is the two speed saw. Model 1671 I think. I have cut thru 2.5 inch Delrin with no problem. A quick search shows no results for a Dremel Scroll saw. Apparently that item has been dropped from their stock. I know they sold a lot of them so they should be available on e-bay. Last edited by colonel; 02-24-2010 at 01:15 PM. |

Thanks for the replies. I'm trying to find an old used one on CL. Not easy to know good stuff from crap though.

I just saw a brand new Dremel 1671 listed on E-Bay. Bid was only $56 or so.

Are all the Dremel scroll saws good or just the old ones? Last edited by Bmr4life; 02-24-2010 at 05:00 PM. | |
