Default where to get alum.

I just moved to Long Island and I am having a hard time finding a place that will sell me some smaller pieces of alum. sheet. like a 1/4" thick to make frame rails out of. Where are u guys getting your alum. from?

If you can't find anything locally, you can check out Online Metals. I've ordered from them a few times.

try any recycling yards i always get mine from there and really cheap.

Online Metals has decent prices, but they screwed up my order 2 out of three times.

I live on Long island also I have a friend that has a machine shop in Bellmore,NY He can that size alum. I will call him Friday and get back to you.

No not yet I called twice and I just get his offices answering machine.

Try fastenal or any fastener store

I buy rods at fastenal and also order screws from em, it's way cheaper then hobby shops
