Default Stubborn anondizing...

Ok so has this happened to anyone else? I went to remove some anodizing from some rings and after 1/2 hour in some drano half the rings were fine but the other half were holding on for dear life.

I gave em another 15 min but then just gave up and took the dremel to them so I wouldn't pit the aluminum too much. Did I do something wrong or is that just the norm sometimes.

Tile grout cleaner works great too. Just make sure whatever you use has NaOH in it.
