Post Solidworks Rod End Assembly

Hey guys, first post!

I love the site; I have never rock crawled before but I should be crawling soon!

My parts were designed in Solidworks 2010. I have a simple tube chassis with a rod-end suspension link mated to it. The problem is when I go to move the component the ball doesnt restrict the rod-end body.

I am aware of the "stop at collision" command in the move component tab; but this doesnt really suit my needs. If I have eight suspension links I dont want to have to select each one everytime I want to move the assembly.

Is there a way I can apply a mate or a restriction in which Solidworks will restric the rod-end and the ball?

Thanks guys

unfortunatly SW doesn't have a limit travel mate.

you can get fancy by using a min max mate with a sketch. or you can make shocks and limit them with a min-max and have the shocks be the limiting factor.

hope that helps. BTW 2010 sucks balls. i wish i never got rid of 2008. they got ride of the peirce plan insertion on 2010. i'm goign to complain every day until they bring it back.
