Default Servo tape that won't quit?

What is the meanest, baddest, toughest, low down servo tape in all the town? Sho nuff!

Anyone gets the movie reference gets a high five! But really, what is the tough servo tape that won't give up on me?

Wasnt the name of the movie sho nuff?, or did they just say that a bunch? I use 3m double sided foam tape with great success.

That clear gunk in the red roll. (google says Parma)

The old black stuff just isnt what it used to be. Shoegoo or Marine goop works better. Only way to stick power switches to something.

Now I need to find something that works as good to attach teflon to my Bully axles.

My apologies in advance for jacking the thread a bit.

I've been using the "cutting with thread" method lately to remove taped down electronics, with great success.

No more screwdriver gouges on the chassis or on the bottom of the electronics cases.

I have been using this in my oval cars. To keep everything in its place one of the "oldtimer" told me to double up on the tape. With some of the hits taken at high speed, everything has stayed in place.

The Parma 3M silicone tape mentioned above is killer, and I've also used BRP Super Sticky servo tape...nice and thin and holds insanely well.

Ive had nothing but bad luck with that clear "parma)" stuff. And no, the movie is not called "Sho Nuff" . Here's a hint the bad guy was called The Shogun Of Harlem and the musical guest was El DeBarge.

Movie sounds like The Last Dragon.... Bruce Le-Roy...lol

Tape I would recommend is 3M VHB. Will hold anything, but it can be a little difficult to get off...

Pickle I have the MIP MXT-1 tape in stock.

I agree with you I hate the Parma clear stuff. It's okay if your going to do a large section like a big esc or rx. but you have to be very careful in how you handle it. You almost cannot touch it at all.

The only upside to the parma stuff is it comes off clean.

The MIP tape gives you best of both worlds IMO. The only downside I can tell you is cost. They don't give you much. Like two 8 inch strips.

I use the clear parma servo tape as well... Works great

Its important to keep a few things in mind though when using servo tape... The best servo tape in the world will fail if it is not well stored or not applied to a completely and correctly cleaned surface. Make sure to thoroughly clean the surface with rubbing alchol and also make sure when purchasing you are buying a fully sealed blister pack. If not properly sealed/stored the adhesive will deteriorat and the tape will fai...

Hope that helps
