Default Making my own TLT wideners, Delrin (Acetal), steel, or 6061?

Hey all,
I am wrapping up the fabrication aspect of my senior project, and I have some leftover rod stock in black Acetal, steel, and 6061 T6 (several feet of each, all 2-in dia.), and I was contemplating making a set of wideners for my TLT-based comp crawler, especially since they seem to be kinda hard to source independently.

My only real question is this: is there any reason NOT to make a set of 1/2-inch wideners out of the black Acetal? It is typically used in gearing applications as a lighter replacement of steel and aluminum gears.

Another idea, should I do all three and use them as weights for front/rear bias?

I am already fabricating axle C's, rear straight axle adapters, and steering links out of aluminum and smaller diameter Acetal, and since I seem to have so much stock left over...
