Question Aluminum Tuber Recomendations?

I'm very intrested in building an aluminum tuber body for an ax10 and want some advice from people who have had success with this. I am considering using 1/4" hollw tube, but i don't know what welding proccess to use. If you have built an aluminum tuber please tell me material specs. and post pictures.

Thank you in advance.
