WTF is "afro-engineering"? No really, I want to hear you explain it and not sound like a racist douche. It's 2010, catch up Those kind of words have no place ANYWHERE. Good luck if ya ever move west with that attitude. Get a new pinion or shim it tighter of you can. Gears are gears, when they die they die. Also this doesn;t belong in tools/procedures. It belongs more in the Cliffclimber section. Last edited by solomon7; 05-05-2010 at 10:03 PM. |

Really? First hit on Google: http://www.urbandictionary.com/defin...fro%20Engineer Look at definition 2 then. The "see also"s are especially nice. Ask anyone where the term REALLy comes from. Why not just say improvise? I fya have to say "no offense", it's because it's offensive. I know I sound like a hippie but why continue the use of terms like that? Would ya drop that in a room full of black people? No probably not? then it's racist. Just like calling someone a retard or saying something's gay, it ruffles feathers and makes one looke ignorant; just sayin'.... why Mods, sorry for the non tech. rant Last edited by solomon7; 05-06-2010 at 12:19 AM. |

#1 check your allen wrench for signs of wear... thats HUGE (happens all the stupid time ) #2 put the tip of your soldering iron on the part for a few seconds (granted the gear isn't plastic ) and then use the allen wrench. If there is any threadlock that will loosen it and/or make the part shrink SLIGHTLY, just enough, to let it pop out |

I never though about doing #2. Thats a good idea. Just to clairfy when you put the gun on the pinion gear don't touch the grub screw touch it on the gear itself close to the grub screw. And it will make the pinion expand not shrink. My suggestion granted you can get it out is just put in a new one grub screw from another gear you have layin around...

And this does belong in the Tools/Procedures section, as it has nothing what so ever to do with a Cliff Climber... Here's another good one: http://www.urbandictionary.com/defin...Afro%20Coochie I'm not looking ruffle any feathers here, just too funny! Last edited by Blood_Clod; 05-06-2010 at 09:34 AM.

If it still won't come out, try a small torx bit and jam it in. I had to do that once before but the above mentioned heating the gear not the grub is a great idea! Blood Clod that was actually pretty funny |
