Default Cutting plastic

Here's a trick That I used to use back in the day, I just remembered it tonight when I had to cut some tail light lenses.

Take a bolt or spare soldering tip that threads into your soldering iron, Braze or weld a #2 hobby knife blade to it and screw it into your soldering iron, I used a 25 watt I had laying around, should have used the 60 watt, would have been quicker. Let it heat up then just slice thru what ever plastic you need to cut. Like a hot knife thru butter.

Cool. I always just used an old box cutter, took a torch, and heated the knife up til it was red hot, then cut the plastic. Works probably just like yours, like a hot knife through butter.

I just bought one but only use it for styrene there's lots of scary chemicals in plastic products.
