| brazing with a propane torch??
is it possible to braze with a propane torch??

depends on the type of brazing. of you are using silver solder then it should be hot enough but its not hot enough for bronze.

I know there are posts on how to braze, but I havnt seen what type of rod to use and diameter of rod used to braze. Do you use silver rod? Do people put flux on the rod before its brazed? Sorry, I'm a little slow... |

Yes you can use a propane torch. I've built a few items with a smaller propane torch, it's definitly not as fast, but will work. I haven't used propane for a while, now all i use is my mapp/oxygen set up. And most use safety silv silver solder, but i'm lazy and just use this flux coated brazing rod that my local welding shop gives me.
