Bondo works well for filling in scratches and small gaps, but I wouldn't recommend it for filling in large areas. It'll crack. Do as much filling as you can with styrene then dress it up with bondo.

Hmm I need to fill in some wavy-ness and just figured this would be the easiest way. How well does gluing thin styrene down and grinding and blending it instead of bondo?

If you take a dremel with a course sanding drum and grind a bunch of thick styrene into small pieces, almost dust, them mix with one of the solvents for styrene you get a very smooth styrene paste that works awesome for filling. It is styrene so it will be as strong as the rest of it. Once you get the majority of it filled you can go back with normal filler for pin holes if you need to. It does make a mess and you have to work kind of quick since it starts curing pretty fast, but I think it is the way to go.
