Ditto!!!! I also buy metric hardware from them, and tap and drill sets. QUICK shipping too.

+1.
Also try a local plastics supply house, you may be able to get "cutoffs" (aka scrap) for real cheap!

I drive over to McMaster Will-Call almost weekly for Delrin and other hardware. They ship FAST. If I am ordering just screws and bits, I have them ship it. (I get it same day by 3pm if I order by 8am for only $4-ish)...but if I need rod/tube/sheet material, I drive on over and pick-up. They are only 15 minutes from my office. They really have everything.

ONLINE METALS also has good material. I have a close friend who is a senior purchasing agent for them. Often they are the supplier for McMaster. She will bring the order to my house on her way home from work.

This is what I do. The remnant bin is 50% off regular price, and the last Friday of the month, the remnant bin is on sale for 50% off. Full price Delrin is expensive these day.

You can also try Enco ...search for Acetal.

Cutting boards are not made from delrin. They are usually made from HDPE (high density polyethylene). They are soft and are more like plastic. Delrin is hard and has many of the same characteristics as metal and machines well too.

Yes, Delrin is a brand name for Acetal.

I have bought from McMaster-Carr as well. Also try www.InterstatePlastics.com. In some cases, they are cheaper than McMaster, and they can do custom cutting for a small fee (it's automatically calculated on their site). I recently got some 1/4" sheet cut into 1" x 48" strips for less than half the price of McMaster.
