Default brass buggy

I want to build a rail dune buggy using the front and rear of a super champ . Will brass tube work to make the cage? I want it to be driveable. Thank you for any info you can give me.

yes, it will work. Ive built a tuber out of 1/8" brass tube. Harris safety silv works great although brass isn't magnetic, so you'll need a third hand to help assemble it. The brass tube isn't as stiff as steel so you'll need to design carefully and maybe add reinforcement later.

Just build it out of steel. Brass is not a good material for this purpose.

I have seen them done before but they don't hold to real abuse. It could be done yes but for it to hold up to real bashing it would require so much more triangulation, bracing and hours than a steel version. That is why all of us use steel. Way back when a lot of us tried using brass, in the end we just gave up because of the durability.

Is this the new version of "Nice Truck"?

It's 30 days and 30 posts...you don't have to get all 30 posts in one day with "thanks for all the help". This is the third one I've seen from you.

Welcome to RCC

He was a sneaky one! Lots of posts in picture archives where they go unnoticed. 21 of them actually.
