That would work on the tab but if you changed the member size or orientation there is a good chance that it would blow up. Normally you would create all of the frame members (structural shapes) and then start adding parts (sheet metal) to complete your assembly.

This question is kinda related...

I'm decideing if i want a .25" od tube or .1875 od bar for my tube chassis. Any suggestions on strength, and whats easier to "connect" with alumiweld. The bar is ALOT cheaper than the tube.

thanks for the info! i'm still figuring out how to get everything perfect, from now on out i won't be deleting the skeleton seed. thanks!
