| Hex set for power drill ?
I just bought a Ryobi TEK 4 power drill today. It's 4v and 1/4 drive. Where can I buy some power hex bits for this ? I tried Home Depot, Sears. Loews etc and no luck . Would appreciate and info. Thanks |

My LHS sells some EDS brand "power bits", I don't recall if they were stricly srewdriver bits or if they were in fact hex bits. I guess I need to check into them next time I'm there.

Thanks for the reply. I'll have to check my LHS. I don't recall seeing them but then again I wasn't looking for them at the time.

How thin are the walls on the nut drivers? Everything I've found so far is just too big and I can't get to some of the nuts without taking a ton of stuff apart.

I can break out the calipers and give you exact ODs if you remind me. I won't be home until later tonight. Just shoot me a PM and I'll hook you up.

| Re: Hex set for power drill ? I don't think that's necessary just wondering if they are thinner than what a standard hardware store cheapo nut driver if you've ever used those before. Some of them are just flat huge I guess to make up for the garbage metal they're made out of.

Without any specifics I can't tell you. There are a ton of "standard cheapo nut drivers" and I'm sure that they are all different to a degree.

For $30 I just bought them if the walls are to thick I can always turn them down. Now I can take the wraith apart without making my fingers raw from a standard hex wrench.

Although this may not help, I have a 1/4' bosch impact and I use a 1/4' hex to 1/4' square adapter that i got a from a Dewalt 1/4' set (maybe $18 at the big orange box) so if you already have 1/4 square driven hex bit, that should work. Btw it also came with 1/4' hex to 3/8' sq, and 1/4' hex to 1/2' sq so it was pretty versatile .

i would guess they are as they are designed for r/c's ...i know what you snap-on driver barly squeezes in to loosen wheel nuts. i have had my ofna's for 5 years they are tough, although i don't use them all the time. i like to dismantle using the power tooll, and hexes. For first time builds and assembly i like hex drivers to get the feel of tighten. * although if you have a long 20+mm screw i use the power tool to run it in.

I have the Ofna's in the pic above, they are GREAT. OD for the nutdrivers are: 4.5mm=7.00mm 5.5mm=7.90mm 7mm=9.45mm |

I also have a Ofna set. My hands get bad after a while (carpel) so turned to a Black and Decker driver. After 4 years the battery is starting to go, so think it's time for a new one....

Integy has a ton of sets, Allen only and with nut drivers. I have an Allen only set I purchased for $25. They work great!
