if you type convert then the amounts and types you want to convert into google it will do it for you. Ie: convert 3 mm to inches and it gives you the answer |

What I'm trying to do is figure out what 2-56 x 1/4....Is that real close to 3mm x 8mm?

Run2 A 3mm x 8mm screw is much larger than a 2-56 x 1/4" screw. The 3mm x 8mm screw is .118" diameter by .315" in length. The 2-56 x 1/4" screw is .086" in diameter by .250" in length. The SAE decimal for 1mm is .03937". Hope this helps. |
