A few min on google and this is what I came up with

so everything used can be picked up at homedepot, wallmart, and princess auto(I think Harbour freight for US guys)

At wallmart i picked up a rubermaid...Make sure it has locking lid as the air pressure will pop it off with out.
At homedepot i picked up some caulking, plexi glass, 2 pvc 90, and reducers, and 2 4" reducers for the gloves
At princess auto i got the cheep sand blaster and gloves

alittle bit of cutting and drilling and wolla one blasting enclosure

Edit: i think i kept it all under $50

very cool. I love seeing people make stuff like this on the cheap and prove that you dont always have to spend a fortune. Just do you home work. Big thumbs up..

so far so good... think im gonna look into adding some sort of light, and found some "tear away" clear plastic sheets(like moto cross goggles) to put on the inside of the plexi.... hopefully make it last longer

Great idea! It can't leak any worse than the p.o.s. cabinet I got from horrible freight.

I used a little weather stripping on the lid and it seems to hold the seal pretty well

I love seeing people make tools to fit there needs....any video of it in action? Maybe instead of plexi you could use a panel of glass it won't scratch as easy....just a thought.

glass works better, but will still get etched over a relatively short period of time. A peel away shield sounds like a good choice here, and I might have to steal the idea for our blast cabinets at work

That is an awesome cabinet idea. Just enough to blast the little pieces.
After your done blasting just empty the tub back into the hopper. Just a little mess. Nice job.

I built something like that myself awhile back with a small shop light inside but not nearly as not nearly as nice as this! I use mine for dremel work as I don't have a blast gun yet and it works great but I need to update it and I think I'm gonna use your ideas to do it
Looks great:thumbup:

same piece-o-crap as the horrible freight version. I've owned one for a year, I still can't stop all of the dust leaks. I have mine up for sale locally, if it doesn't sell I'm gonna use it for target practice.

Move and increase the size of the exhaust filter and it works flawlessly.

I had mine setup w/ a shop vac. The rectangle "vent" on the back wall became the fresh air intake. I tried to get it to stop leaking, every sheet metal seam got sealed w/ silicon, I used wide foam ( truck capper style foam) to get the door to stop leaking. I slowed the leaks down but I could never get the thing to completely stop puking black dust. I was using aluminum oxide for a media.

Quite possible that other folks figured out how to make them work good, I was never successful. As of yesterday, it's someone else's problem now.
