Default Mini AXR10 Axles?...

Has anyone tried this?

I was playing around in the garage and put this together...thought it might work for the 1.9 crawler class. Using ax10 housing, long beef tube and xr10 knuckles and hubs.

Dim from outside of each knuckle is about 6.15".

Yes, the long beef tubes need to be cut down.;)

A brace from the center 4 holes and to the shock ear would have to be made to beef it up.

Downside is the loss of ground clearance using that center pumpkin size with 1.9 tires. Could be done though, try it out.

That is very cool. I was thinking of something like this the past couple weeks being bed riden sucks. To gain some ground clearance you could shave the pumpkin and gears MThead shaved some for eric113 if i remember right.

You could really shave a lot off of the pumpkin...maybe make some sort of bottom cover that is formed to the shape of the ring gear...something like the Pro Rock 60 housings for 1:1's. The biggest benefit other than steering that I see is the availability of the OD and UD gears for these housings

I definitely like the idea of OD / UD gears
