| Need help with material?
I just finished making a mold for some skids and need to know a good plastic or resine to use for the skid. I was going to use the same stuff for it but I'm thinking I need something a little better. Any help? |

I know someone knows something. I was thinking of Carbon fiber but never used the stuff before. I would rather have something that can be used in a mold instead of molding around something. If that makes sence. ? |

no sure, but I know laying up carbon fiber is not cheep. The cloth cost a pile, then you have to build up the layers like fiber glass. once laid up you have to put it in a vacuum bag and cook it in an autoclave. you could try to do the same with regular fiberglass, might hold up to the beating. |
