Ok I'm ready to build my first tuber. i want to try and make the best as I can. my question is when i fish mouth my tube can i sand down the outer edge of the tube for a thicker brass/bond? because I want to be able to sand down the joint's and make it look as one. i don't want to be sanding the joint so it will be weak.

Depending how tight your joint is, it should flow nicely..

aluminum would work I would think but alot of care would have to go into the design so the frame is SUPER rigid. If it has any flex it will crack.
