Default Spring Steel

I have a part I'm wanting to look into getting made out of spring steel (I want the part to soak up an significant impact and return back to original shape). I originally was just going to do aluminum, but been playing with some 3d printed parts and the springiness of the plastic gave me the idea of making the final parts out of spring steel so there wouldn't be any worry's of having to replace a bent aluminum piece.

Attached is the part in question. For a size reference, the big hole on the bottom is for a 4-40 bolt (tad smaller than a M3)

Is it possible to get it straight up machined or would it need to be it need to be like waterjet cut flat then bent?

Just trying to get a better idea on who I need to talk to for quotes.

I'm not a supplier, but I've worked with a bunch of spring steel on the machine designs at my work. Normally it only comes in sheet metal and rods. I'm going to guess someone has it in a big enough stock to machine into such a small part. My first thought was to do like you said either water jet or laser cut it and bend to final shape.
