Default Electric suspention

Yup you read the title right Electric Suspention. It is another one of my off the wall ideas. It is made of Muscle Wire. If you dont know what it is here is a link with a little more information. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muscle_wire. Basicly you add electricity to it eaither expands or contracts.
To use it in supention it could be made as a swaybar, links. As coil springs it could be usded to compress the suspention or extend it as needed. In a sway bar setup..................well you get the idea.
So what do you think? What uses can you get from this idea?

How much electricity will it take? Is it worth the added weight of batteries?

I've seen, and tested some specimens of titanium alloys of the memory type. As for now these alloys works as a ordinary mild steel bar, in room temperature, that you can bend and the bar will keep the shape you bend it to. When you heat up the bended bar it will regain its memorised shape, if made as a bar originally the bends will straighten out.

As for use in a suspension system i cant see the benefit of using memory alloys. I think they have less "springy" capacity than ordinary spring metals. If you can take advantage of a stored configuration of the metal, you will need to heat the metal to make it change shape, and this is not a fast nor a very powerfull respons when its regaining its original shape.

Sorry to be doubtful, but I'd like to see some more consepts of how to take advantage of this quite amazing abilities in these titanium alloys.

what kind of exspantion could you get out of it if you made a coil spring out of it?
