In the same amount of time it takes to type that response you could have said...

"harris safety silv 56%, some harris safety silv flux, and a yellow bottle of map gas"

but then again if you always tell them, they'll never learn on their own
Search some and you'll find anything and everything, I promise you.
I'm in a good mood tonight so I hope that helps

i started out answering his questions and showing him where and how i found the answers. seeing him ask all these questions that he could answer for himself ruins my good mood, :-( .

Just like TX said. Mapp gas with a good adjustable flame torch. Not the cheap pencil torch that Lowes sells for 10 bucks. It works but barely. The rod you can either get roll or stick in Harris Safety Silv 45 or 56. The 45 is stronger since it has less silver in it. If you get the stick version you can do away with the seperate flux since it is already on the rod, but it is a lot higher. I have seen it anywhere from 3-7 bucks for one stick of 45-56. Make sure your joints are tight fitting and your tubing is CLEAN. The cleaner and tighter your joints not only will it be easier to do it will also be stronger and look better. Thats just my 2 pennys though.

There is a killer write up on the tech page. I wouldnt recommend using stick type braizing rod, it doesn't seem to flow as nice as the coil type.

Hrm, I have to get mine red hot to get it to properly make the joint, but I did see this. Now I'm going to have to start on another tuber so I can practice some more. ;)
