Default Show off time...

Okay, I am needing to see what kinds of things you have made with your mills and/or lathes. Included info will hopefully be the make/model of th machine used. I am trying to decide on what brands to get.

Show off what you've made! If the parts seem close in accuracy and finish, then maybe I can narrow the selection down by other criteria.

All of my junk, I made at my buddies machine shop. All of it was machined on either a very small CNC mill or manual mill and lathe.

Pics of servo mounts, wheel adapters, links, shock towers, Clod/TXT to 40 series rings, and upper Maxx suspension arms. I've also made steering tierods, tranny skid, tranny support, battery tray, rear steer lock out spacers, TXT axle blocks, BTA steering mount....................

Its a rear end for an rc dragster I'm hand making.

All the work was done on my Sherline 4400 with a 3 jaw chuck, live center and carbide tools. I threaded the ends using a die.

How did I do??

Everything was hand machined except for the engines

I had to put the two motors on it just to show off.

the ass end i made from scratch. all the gears, the gearbox and the shafts where hand made. even the hexes for the wheels where had made. and by the way that is brass for the gear case.

Not crawler but cool nontheless: (To me anyway)

Again made 100% on sherline lathe and mill.

It's a hit and miss engine. The sound of it running is like music to me.

Well, perhaps he should help you with your TLT then. The two are at opposite ends of the spectrum in terms of quality. Incidentally, why are there two of you?

Engine block, base and flywheels were machined from a casting kit. Everything else was machined from solid.

Andy,
How do people get food and drink to you down in your basement?

Have you guys seen Andy? His skin is very pale. He has black hair...and he sleeps in a coffin.

Haha
I can't claim to be King Cobra but I do have two other aliases out there now in the crawling forum world. Watch for some fun in the near future!
