| What do ya think?
THis is my first tuber that i built let alone the whole thing. The frame is a extreme candy blue with stainless hardware. Any questions feel free to ask. Please let me know what you think. [ Is this thing good enough to get me to become a KCRC member? Last edited by LTEYFZ450SE; 01-11-2008 at 10:45 AM. |

Wouldn't have guest its your first tuber, it looks great. Did you TIG weld the tubes or use silver solder.

Looks pretty good. The only thing I see that might be changed is the amount of flex. To me it just has way too much flex. This may be due to the shocks laying down so much. Just my opinion, otherwise it looks really good.

Not necessarily. With long shocks laid down like that, you get lots of flex, and a very unstable rig. The end result is lots of rollovers when you tackle tough terrain. My advice would be to get hold of some shorter shocks, with much stiffer springs. You will have less flex, but it will be more controlled, and the rig will be much more stable. Cheers, Paul. |

Looks good, except as stated.. Cut the flex down to about half of that. Once in a bind, it will flex more than what you have sitting there. Are you planning on competing? |

I would seggust some Stampede front shocks. They are a little shorter then the maxx shocks. The ones I have are from Imex and I have them threaded all the way down with 80wt shock oil and they seem pretty stiff. Try those out.

The shocks you have are fine but you mounting spot for the shocks is way to low. Mount you shocks more vertical and see how it wil become more stable;) |

Well since your wanting to compete, any way to get better pics of the chassis? From the pics posted, it's hard to tell exactly how the chassis is made. But the way the bottom is made, not sure it would be USRCCA legal. To be legal, you need to run full hood, roof and side panels. From what I can tell, it doesn't look like you have enough for side panels. From what I can tell, it goes from the main chassis tube, straight down to the trans mount? |

well i havent put the panels on yet. I finshed them all but i didn't put them on yet till i get all the kinks worked of of it yet though. I had to make the transmount separate from the chassis it goes around the chassis and bolts to the tranny. |

nice first chassis Lower the motor or rotate tranny so the motor is lower. also you should narrow the axles and reduce the travel before the comp like this scroll down a bit to the axle change, this is my first maxx. wheel travel should be about 45-50* not 75 hard to tell where your links are but if your going to do some steep climbing lower it . stand the shocks up more What tranny is that ?
