| Tmaxx as a part time crawler
This is probably a stupid question but has anyone tried using a 3.3 nitro tmaxx as a crawler? I'm just curious becuase I would like to get a lot more suspension travel out of my Tmaxx and maybe do some minor crawling but I don't want to have to go slow all of the time. Plus all I see for crawlers is all electric powered so i'm curious if they even make a gas powered crawler. Sorry, i'm just new at this!

I used to go down to the creek with mine and crawl/mud bog. Now I have a Savage and I'm building a crawler.

forget the naysayers i'm working the bugs out of mine look here nitro crawler with pic's but for my personal advice figure out cooling first, gear it as low as possible, and don't go to deep or flip it in the mud. i killed my 2.5 i had before the 3.3 by hill climbing with a puddle at the bottom of it looked cool but bad idea. you'll eat clutches and if you lock the diffs it drives bad at speed and eats stock driveshafts like candy, i know i started with a stock max. i just never listen to reason and i love nitro. as far as a fun crawler i'm now planning to get a highlift and build a trailer to haul the nitro one until i get to where i wanna play as far as a trail ride goes. it's fast but mine does have enough torque to crawl i'm just figuring out cooling it's hard but fun. it's on the back burner till i get money for a ducted fan and potetiometer. |
