I am planning on converting a Revo or a Summit to a crawler soon, gathering ideas for the build now.

A Revo would make a good trail rig AT BEST. Comp worthy crawler...very doubtful. Nitro is too twitchy to crawl very well.

I've tried to run my Revo over some of the same rocks as I do my crawler, and it will make it, but not in a very controlled fashion. It won't go very verticle either.

I'm turning mine into a Slayer.

I plan on doing an E-Revo crawler ;)
Nitro would be way too hard to creep with, and probably burn clutches.

If you are looking for a backyard crawler / trail basher the summit is great.... not a comp crawler by any means but definately a blast to beat on......especially with a MMM 2200 kv system and 18.5v of lipo power !!!!!
