OK, here is my new Maxx crawler "Maxximus Prime" SPECS ESC:Super Cock Motor(s):Mubachi w/GD-600 Servo(s):HS-5955TG x 2 Trans:E-Maxx Axles:Locked Maxx Tires:Moabs WB:16" Overall Width:17 1/2 Diff clearance:3 1/8 Center Chassis clearance:4 5/8 Overall height:10 3/8 Overall weight: 10# ? Well, when I first joined this site it was pretty much just for my TLT but after seeing all the badass rigs on here, I knew it was a matter of time before I wanted a "big" rig. The one that really got me was TwistedCreations Goblin, a tube framed maxx crawler. So when he had his "Goblin Chassis" feeler thread I started looking for an E-Maxx. Got a used one for a fair price. It was RTR -the TX, came w/ a JR RS310 RX which is what i'd need anyway. I talked to TC & he didn't have time to do the chassis & axles.Hope he remembers when he has the time. So I got a Mantis chassis from Jeepjunky. I am happy w/the way it came out. I did all the normal things like spools, locked trans in 1st, ditched all the 2nd gear stuff. Didn't take pics of these so don't ask for them This is how it came As you can see, it has a Hummer body so you know it can't do sh!t...... Here it is Some body off shots Some w/my TLT Hope you like Action shots when I get it out on some real rocks |

Yup it's chrome, you know, if you want it to make it home, it's gotta be chrome. Hence it's name "Chrome Dome" TC- when it's ready, I'll be ready too. |

Yeah, I can't wait to really test it too. 1st time the servo fried in less than 3 min. 2nd time the batt only lasted like 15-20 mins. Not enough run time. I'm used to Chrome Dome's 1hr plus run time. All that's left really is finding the right gearing set-up & a custom battery set-up from CBP.com. So, for the ~20 mins. I ran it I was really impressed. |
