Default gear ratios

just see what everyone final ratio is.......

If you dont know how to figure it out

1st gear = 2.76 (with 72t spur 3.1 G.R and 9t pinion = 194.4)

2nd gear = 1.72 (with 72t spur 3.1 G.R and 9t pinion = 121.14)

diff = 2.84

teeth on spur = 72 or 64*

If you running a pede/ruslter the trans ratio is 2.72

if your running a gd-600
GD-600 Ratios,

18t pinion = 2.5

15t pinion = 3.1

13t pinion = 3.5

12t pinion = 3.8

here to formula...

(# of teeth of spur)/(#of teeth of pinion)x(trans)x(diff)=crawl ratio

If you are running a gear reduction take that ratio ratio and multiply
that to your entire crawl ratio. = your final ratio

in which case I'am shooting for 124 final ratio with a 55t lathe

It's been a while since I ran a maxx, but IIRC, mine was somewhere in the neighborhood of 90:1. (and I used a lathe motor as well)

i think my last setup with the gd600 was right around 120:1 and it was too slow..90-110 is fine.

That is the ratio was in my truck when I got it. Really like but since iam ditching trans which is a..... david engle trans and parts are hard to come by I'am switch it out to pede trans. I may try without the gd first and see how I like it. if not i can add on later or add and get mm motor for some speed.

i had mine at like 300:1 with a gd600, way way way to slow, took it to like 115:1 and it was fine, would have liked a little more wheel speed.

300:1 would be pretty dope with a 4000kV 8 pole brushless
