Default Traxxas Telluride axle hex to hex width?

Does any one have the measurement from the 12mm hex to hex width?
I am thinking off installing a JK wrangler hardbody with interior and opening doors on a Telluride chassis. Wheel bases close 273mm traxxas..275mm JK hardbody. I would like wheel/tire somewhat offroad but tucked in as much as possible. I would probably use 1.9's like these.

Unfortunately, I haven't yet converted my Stampede 4x4 to a Telluride, so I can't provide the hex-to-hex width, but I can tell you the 1.9's will most likely not work. The Traxxas knuckles are very big and too close to the hex hub, so 1.9's, and even most 2.2 rims will rub against the knuckles, unless they have enough of a negative offset to keep the edge of the rim away. Then, of course, with a negative offset, your tire is even further away from the body. I did a lot of reading on various forums, and most guys had to use SCT (2.2/3.0) rims/wheels to tuck in properly. Also, the Telluride suffers a little from low ground clearance, so you'd probably want a tire with an OD of 4.5" or greater. I do believe, however, that the wheelbase will match up with those China hard body Jeeps.

Your advice(many thanks) echos my research as well...the RC4WD Gelande II probably best choice.

That would be a good choice. I have a Gelande II, and it's legit. Solid axles with fwd motor/tranny and transfer case, which makes room for a body w/interior.

The only reason I'm going to do a Telluride is because I already had a P4de, but also have a couple of quirky toy RC hard bodies with odd dimensions that just don't seem to fit on a regular scaler chassis, and a Telluride is still at least 10x better than the toy RC's they were removed from.

Oh, I've already got all the parts to convert my Stampede to a Telluride, plus some hop-ups. This thing will be trail-ready when I'm done.

Never measured mine, but I did put some extra shallow offset SCT beadlocks from ProLine meant for the long arm SCTs on mine to narrow it up some.

I converted my pede to a telle suspension.
You will need steering rods, shorter upper links and shorter shafts.
As stated no 1.9 will fit.
I used special 2.2 rpm revolver rims, they just clear knuckles in the front.
Ill measure tommorow but I think hex to hex is about 8"

The bandit suspension arms are 1mm narrower than the telle.

Also the stock plastic steering system and plastic arms flex too much to steer large tires.
Flexes too much for slow moving.
