| Traxxas TRX-6 Upgrades?
Hey guys, I’ve been out of this sport for a while, but we got my son 5the 6x6 G-wagon, and he’s loving it. Anybody else have it and recommend certain upgrades to make it mode capable while crawling? I thought I saw somebody makes brass portal weights, maybe wheel or axle weights? I’m not sure what else it needs other than some body trimming at this point. Any good feedback would be appreciated. Anybody? Does the TRX-6 share any components with the TRX-4, so I can find some stuff for it?

I put these on my trx6. Had to wait for them on the slow boat but it was worth the weight for the savings to get these parts together. Throw em all on the front axle. As far as the rest of the compatibility goes, mostly anything for the trx4 will work on the trx6 with the exception of the middle axle of the trx6, that’s all unique to the 6x6. https://www.ebay.com/itm/RC-TRX4-Bra...IAAOSwPLNdY7ek |

TRX-6 is already capable in stock form. Brass portal axle covers would be a start. A 2s shorty lipo in the front for more front weight bias. A servo winch. Stock tires are great (maybe swap out with super swampers or hyrax?).

I have never heard of "Traxxus" but if you read through the Traxxas TRX4 section, there are litterally thousands of posts on TRX4/6 upgrades.

these are so good out of the box, the first change would be the red steering servo and metal servo horn. The stock servo can't do much if the weight of the truck is all on the front wheels.

The rear axle however, if unique as its link mounts are entirely new to allow correct geometry of the rear axle. (Unless there's something I'm missing. If so, I apologise, ignore me) Sent from my LM-V600 using Tapatalk

What do you have for a body on your 6x6? Clearly something custom going on there.

One day, finances permitting, it'll be a Power Wagon wrapped in one of PimpinRocks' art pieces. I know, super original idea. I want it to resemble something between the Race Tractor and the Huak Designs Wrecker. I cut that stainless plate for a flatbed/minor cage work idea I had. But between lack of proper tools and tack or patience, I'm not at a point where I can be building cages. Sent from my LM-V600 using Tapatalk |

I had been planning on doing a full WW2 power wagon with my 6x6 and towing my silly trailer with it. But now I'm going to do a Power Wagon troop transporter on a 4x4. A 6x6 Dakar truck is my current inspiration for my 6x6, I have a unimog cab.

Sorry guys, never saw any reply notifications to my email. Anybody found good replacement driveshafts for these TRX-6's, because these were garbage: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...&psc=1...broke first battery. Chris |

But if you go too far, the OEM plastic shafts should act as a built-in failure point that's easy to replace. Assuming there's no other week spots in your truck anyway. Sent from my LM-V600 using Tapatalk

Only thing I added to mine was brass weights up front. I'm still running stock everything and have had the truck since release day. The truck is super capable out of the box and out crawls/climbs/descends all my other 4x4s in most instances.

Found these last night...ordered them to see how they hold up versus stock and the other crappy ones we bought recently: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Chris |
