Thanks guys! Hmmm, I have the Jumbo Kongs but they are reserved for another project. The Maxx will have the black cutted wheels for first. Perhaps IŽll try some 40-sized tyres later... And no updates on this long weekend --> party at a friendŽs home with lots of meat (barbecue grill) and alcohol... Manuel |

looks good, but i think you are going to have a hell of a time getting the revo shafts to extend out so far without leaving them room to not slip. if there is about a 1/4 inch in to the female shaft, they will start to slip under load. good luck |

Or in other words: This will be a layout with independent motors... ;) IŽm working on 3 projects right now so updates will follow these days... ...later... ...or so... Manuel | |

I did notice that the pinion shafts were on top. Are you going to make this a top loader. I have thought about doing this before with some worm gears for added reduction and self braking. I have also thought about using a small planetary gearbox at each of the wheel hubs for reduction. The full sized monster trucks use this method to keep from breaking axles. |

IŽll use a 1:50 reduction gearbox each axle, that should give enough power and smoothness for crawling. Disadvatage is the the mounting of that thing to provide the advatages of the stick-chassis... Manuel |

I am really curious to see how you get the motor mounted...

Another idea that I've had was to keep the pinion shaft horizontal like it normally is and afix a gearbox to the pinion shaft. The gearbox goes up to where the motor is attached above the center section. The motor sits parallel to the pinon shaft. The Heim joint is then attached to the top of the gearbox giving you a good amount of ground clearance. The only problem with the worm gear top loader idea is that the input shaft and drive shafts will be off center compared to the Stick. The only other way to use the worm gear idea is to build an axle from scratch where the worm gear arrangement takes the place of the differential. |

Hi! Finally some new pics: ;) Click pic 4 gallery! But I got to rebuild it. The chassis is too loose and the servos can clearly move in their monts under loading. So whatŽs the deal? IŽm planning to strip it down to the naked axles and restart at point zero. Perhaps IŽll try the stick again, perhaps IŽll do something different - thereŽs at last a complete tranny from the E-Maxx that is gettin bored... IŽll keep you updated... ;) Manuel |

Thanks! That geared motors (1:50) are impressive and very powerful. At 6V they deliver an axle-breaking 400 N/cm (don´t know the conversion for the american measures)! And I´m using 14,4V... Manuel |

any updates on this rig? I've seen a couple other maxxes like this with stampeded trannys mounted on each axle on the skidplates and heared it was a go anywhere machine? Hows your setup?
