Thanks, finally got the rear-end connected last night. So now it's time to make the front axle...I'm in no hurry on this truck, but im getting anxious to get it out back on the rocks and see what it can do but my grinder is taking a shit on me( bearings are shot) so that may slow me down some :? here are a couple shots so far of the rear end... Thanks guys. the lower links aint so much as looks, but for clearance over the steering links if not, they would smack on compression

How well does the short link setup work? (assuming you have a similar setup on yours)

it works just fine... just as good as my longer links on my current truck. it just gives less links to drag on the rocks. I will use the belly pan of the truck to slide over the rocks with. the lower section(sides) and bottom of the chassis will have delrin skidplates on it. the links are like 5 1/2" long if i remember right

The links on my truck that we're building are 5" long, which doesn't seem that long compared to Mnster's clod links.

well got it up and running last night. still need to work on the suspension some, but at least it climbs rocks now then after the suspension is set,i'll finish the body panels and other crap. in the pic, the truck stands at 11" tall and has a belly clearance of 5" ohh- heres also a pic without shocks on and it being able to twist.so you see the short links really don't make much a difference Last edited by TwistedCreations; 05-04-2005 at 06:18 AM. |

pede trans has a 5mm output and the maxx diffs have a 6mm output, so you will have slop on the pede side. | |
