I like his battery tray more than stock though paint it black and good to go. Found out today my lhs has the 66 chevy body in stock gonna grab that for mine.

Sorry I meant I wanted to lower the CG of the battery and the regular stick wouldn't fit but I use shorty's on my drifter so "thumbsup"

I'll post up better tonight - this was first test after some needed changes to the wheelbase. But this is the Proline G6 Dodge Ram Single cab. I'll also include the details of what I did and actual wheelbase I ended at.

Yeah its like it split right there from being too thin. A bummer only one my LHS had I'll have to wait on proline.

From all the other 66 C 10 bodies added to the TRX-4 I have mounted mine a little higher ,,not by choice ,, It had something about the rear body post mounting part that comes in the parts bad ,The stock mount didn't line up I have since seen a vid where it can be turned and lines of with the raised box on top of the bed for shock towers my guess, So what am getting at is the rock sliders mounted in the stock location were 1/2' lower than body and I wanted to use the grove in the slider to hold the body,, Here's what I came up with .

Looks great with the sliders raised. When you said you had to mount it higher than the others I was thinking blahhhh. Then seen the pics and looks better than the others.

Here's mine with the body off of my SCX-10. Shortened the rear links and trimmed the frame rails a bit in the rear. Just first steps here, lots more to add.

Took the Bug out to the local Blackfoot RC Park here in Calgary. It's great with the TRX4 chassis under it. The shorter wheelbase allowed me to get around some of the tighter corners more easily and the lighter body meant it didn't roll nearly as easily as is did with the Defender body on it.

I've got the chassis set to bang on 315 mm which is about 12 3/8". That's about perfect for this body.

Just picked up a roller TRX4 and looking for body. Has anyone tried the Proline Dodge RAM 1500 body on? Another one I am considering is the proline hilux body.

Could you please share what links did you use to shorten the wheelbase?

I used Axial links because I had them. 106mm for the upper rear and 98mm for the lower rear. I didn't change the front at all.

Oh, and I also shortened the rear drive shaft a bit.

If you are talking about the 11.3" wheelbase body, then it might be a bit too close for rear wheels to have any kind of travel. I have mine at 12" and the shock is already leaning backward.

Actually I apologize I was thinking of getting the 4 door one which I think is larger, hopefully it fits.

I didn't make it far with that body. Too many things didn't pan out the way I wanted so I switched to a ProLine JKU body designed for the Summit/Revo. It fit like a glove and gave several benefits over stock. I'll post pics later today once I finish putting on the decals. Just got it back from my painter.

My new Jeep JKU body. This was the first rc body I ever painted and I think it came out pretty good, just need some aftermarket bumpers since there's a gap between the body and stock ones .

I think this G4x4^2 body has a lot of potential for a build (especially considering the 1:1 version has portal axles and selectable locking diffs)

Axial RTR Rubicon body. Been recycling this body on trucks for a while. Just stuck axial body posts in the TRX4 post holes and they line up perfectly with the stock drilled body holes. Real easy...

Nice! Very good to know about the body posts. Smart on Traxxas part to bake in the compatibility with the SCX 10 (same with the bumpers). The folks at vatera could learn a thing or two from them "thumbsup"

that I like more, I still can use the inner fenders to keep the inside clean and in case of any accident the lexan body won´t suffer any damage because of the exo cage.

I am not sure if I choose the right color... The best thing are the clear windows"thumbsup"

I like the paint job you did on the original - the blacked-out sections look great, add a unique look.

Hard to do with white, but some other color on the interior could add a finishing touch.

To keep the white from being darkened, though..... not sure - maybe silver or light gray?
