Very nice, new method wheels, red links and shocks, chrome diff covers (not my thing), and I see clear windows too! No fenders to worry about ripping off either. Last edited by HumboldtEF; 10-31-2017 at 04:57 PM. |

The nice thing about this body is that those tires are 2.2s, think of it wit 1.9s. Ooooohhhhh. I wanted a TRX for Christmas, but I think I'll wait. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Damn, that thing is begging for some Proline 1.9 Intercos and RC4wd 1.9 Wagon Wheels, Warn Locking Hubs and Rear hubs to make that look right. I remember seeing the 1/1 Broncos in that paint on the roads before they started getting really rusty around here!

Sextremely nice,,,,,,,, BUT ! those tires look too large to me, but something 4.19 or maybe a little smaller might go well with me. Hope HPI also start to release some of those "other bodies" they promised for the Venture. Also like Traxxas have some into scale, as they have been known to supersize other models of theirs, so maybe i will soon see that large scaler i have waited so long for. |

Ok, so the rig is shown with their lift kit, which is a separate expense. Second as far as I can recall the body will come alone, but I believe, though people are still a tad confused on the way traxxas has it worded (Including myself), but from the looks of it you will be able to buy the whole thing minus the 2.2 wheels (would have 1.9's), lift kit and light's as an RTR.

The links and longer shocks are definitely not being used for me. Same thing with the 2.2s. This rig is already top heavy as it is with the portals and all the weight up top for its equipment it needs. Thoughts on the winter build are, full-time locked diffs to delete the need for those servos. Shorter links to stay in the popular range 12.3in bodies. Go with 90mm GTX shocks or maybe wait for SS’s Kyoshos to drop. May not go brushless on this like I did on my 10.2 kit since the trans is already 2 speed. Stay simple with a HW 1080 and a Holmes 550 size can (Handwound Crawlmaster). Steering duties are in the air between another PM470 (if available when ready) or a new V2 SHV from Holmes for more than ample steering diligence. A mini D-04 from Power HD can shift the slush box. Very curious to see if there is going to be ANY electronics included with this thing since they are calling it a kit. A true kit doesn’t come with electronics. Some may come with one thing or the other. Tamiya kits for example include only an ESC, only reason it has me guessing is the fact of all the servos it needs. |
