Hmmm...seems odd one would want to lose ground clearance AND increase final gear ratio.

Why? If you want a scale axle buy an RC4wd truck the whole point of the trx4 was to be scale’ish but far more capable.

I like SSD but this one makes no sense to me.

That said if they would make a way to bolt up some RC4wd YOTA axles that would be cool.

I'm always baffled why someone wouldn't want more options. Nice work SSD.

Portal delete kits will be released this week.

I personally prefer not to have portals:
1) It's more scale - Land Rovers, Fords, Jeeps, Chevys etc...don't have portals
2) Lower CoG, more stable
3) Narrower axle track - fits more bodies better

Yes there are some trade offs mentioned already.
I know this is not to everyone's tastes but I know which setup I prefer...

On a similar topic, how 'bout a conversion kit to go the other way and ADD the trx4 portals to other axles? I know there are/where other brands of conversion portals, but they all have crappy track records for durability and parts availability. Just thinking out loud, but that might breathe new life into an outdated (SCX10 axles) build.

Not my taste of pie, but I'm happy that SSD still makes amazing stuff for our RC's!
And if I dont want it, I simply just dont buy it
But I allready got some other stuff from SSD, and it's just awesome.
So keep the good stuff coming!

Seems like a good opportunity to add lockable diffs into SCX and other platforms too.

Yes, Good point and Thank you for reminding the opportunity. I think it is more fun for the lockable diff on SCX10 II

Work on a transfer case adapter for the front out put so you can select 2wd or 4wd.

How about some quality metal axle housing? That's what I really want, and SSD is the company to do it.

Why do you want a metal housing? Besides weight they don't offer any benefits.
