Default Big bore aluminum shocks

Have anyone run these shocks? How are they comparing to stock? One of my front shock is dropping to one side.

Are you saying your truck is leaning to one side?

If so, I seriously doubt you need new shocks. The stock TRX4 GTS shocks are actually quite good shocks but you do need to disassemble them, clean them, adjust and lube the O-ring seals with "Green Slime" and refill with a lighter wt shock oil. If you have one corner of your rig that is drooping you simply need to adjust the spring tension to level the ride.

Actually, I don’t have the stock shock, bought the rig used and came with these shocks. I dissembled the shocks and filled with 20t oil. The side that droop was leaking so now I run without oil. I’m thinking changing to big bore shock and get the stock shocks but sure which to get. Thanks

For future reference, when you ask a question it helps to include all the relevant information. That said, throw those junk shocks in the thrash and buy yourself a set of stock TRX4 GTS shocks or, if you really want a nice smooth set of shocks, buy a set of Dluxfab shocks with medium springs which are actually modified Big Bore shocks.

Interesting you reference filling the shocks with lighter oil. I agree with you but I was reading a article in RC Car Action magazine and the article states to go with a thicker oil, 40wt, so the wheels don't drop into an obstacle to fast thus making the truck more stable. Don't make sense to me to go heavier. I just bought some 10wt to try.

I'm actually running 10wt in my 2661 Big Bore shocks and it fits my slow driving style perfectly. I don't think I would like a heavier oil, the truck just feels sluggish to me with heavy oil. Like someone said, you can inspect 20 trucks from 20 owners and no two of them will be setup the same way.
