Defender Rear Body Mount Posts

Converting a Kit Bronco for the Daughter in Law to a Defender

Used Celt's part numbers for the long rear end

Bought a Take Off Body, Inner Fenders and Bumpers from the Classified parts.

Bought a pair for front and Rear body/Shock mount for a Tactical for fleabay

The Post on the Rear Body mounts do not stick up high enough through the body and Roof Rack so that we can use body clips to secure the body

We are guessing that the Defender Rear Body Mount Uprights had longer posts on the top to extend through the body and roof rack.

Anyone else have the same challenge

The rear Defender body post is longer to clear the rack.

If you get a body post set, the rear post will be longer with 2 sets of holes on each post.

The Defender, Tactical, KIT and Bronco use part #8215 according to the exploded views, I just went and looked at the rear posts on both my KIT and my Defender and the Defender does have 2 sets of holes and is about 1/8" higher to pass through the body and rack. My KIT has a post with only 1 hole...looks like there is a discrepancy in the drawings and associated part #'s.

Punching in part #8215 on Traxxas's site the post does indeed show 2 holes in the top of the post. Which tells me the Tactical, KIT and Bronco use a different part # since there is no rack to also pass through.

I'd try ordering 8215 from traxxas over the phone and let them know they have a couple jumbled up part #'s and then you can verify that you will be getting the post with 2 holes in it.

Appreciate the update

We bought a complete set (front and rear) of mounts from a Tactical on Fleabay, and as noted, only one set of holes.

Will call the nice folks and get the right pieces coming.
