I like the list, I would spend 10.00 more and go to a 30kg servo.( alum horn is a must have) this is also a HK special I also would replace the Traxxas connector with the XT60. Hang up and Drive |

I’m running an external bec on all my rigs. I prefer to have a bit more than needed, rather than struggle. GPM has servo horns in stock Hang up and Drive |

i was going to buy the HW1080 esc but it would put me over my budget. I'm trying to stay under or at $600. other upgrades will come soon. only reason i was buying a servo is because i was worried about stock one breaking quick & i don't want to buy this thing & it sit cause i didn't get a servo

I hear you ! I started with a Yeti rtr, now with a large pile of $$$ it is a great truck. My first Wraith is the same , now it’s 11#’s of fun. Comp crawler was totally upgraded. I sold my chopper for a cheaper hobby, well I was wrong! Hang up and Drive |

Not sure if it was mentioned but depending on which servo you go with, you may need a 3" or 6" extension. A lot of servos have wiring that is shorter than the wires coming off the stock steering servo so they won't reach the rx box. Spectrum and Associated make decent ones and there are a bunch of others but I wouldn't cheap-out on the extension. Pay a couple more dollars for one that uses heavier gauge.

I have the Power HD 20kg servo in my Trail Finder 2 and it struggles at times. It would struggle a lot more in the TRX-4. And yes, ditch the Traxxas connectors and solder on XT60s. Adapters are bad. Avoid them whenever you can. | |

Congratulations on the buy, I'm sure you will enjoy your rig, I love mine and it's also grey. The servo I chose was a Hitec 24kg no external bec. When you will ride just post photos ;) Envoyé de mon LG-H831 en utilisant Tapatalk |

Ernie definitely hooked me up. Such a good dude. His wife is extremely nice as well. Hope to meet them in person some day. I'm So extremely excited! Can't wait till it all gets here. Believe me you guys will know once it's here lol. I ended up getting the red one but that's not a big deal to me. Is there anyway of stripping the stock paint off without discoloring the hard body or should I just paint the outside? I also plan to do the truck bed body mod & change the cage up alittle. If I do that first I really have no choice but to paint the outside. Idk yet just some ideas for now. Hope everyone has a great day!

From a guy that generally doesn't jive with red, Traxxas really did a great job making that particular red ( crimson/ maroon/ whatever) really appealing. I can see going with another color for sure ( tan on that D110 looks especially nice) but rather than hassle with trying to strip it ( if that can even be done... not sure) I would just keep it as is and maybe look into doing another body in whatever color you really dig. Benefit would be having two bodies ( always good), being able to have clear or tinted windows, and not risking a painting disaster. Also, you could easily sell the red one and "fund" a new clear body ready to have your unique signature color that no one else has. BTW... painting that lexan on the outside will undoubtedly reveal the original red once the body starts to get scratched up. I definitely wouldn't go that route. Man... Really happy for you. I completely relate to the enthusiasm. You've got one seriously fun r/c vehicle coming your way! Good choice on the charger too... love mine! And if you're not used to it, please familiarize yourself with things like back-rubs, sweet-talk, puppy-dog eyes, etc... You're gonna need that tactic... I mean... I didn't say that. I meant that you will need to have that natural and effortless ability to show her how much you care about her needs! I'm getting damn good at it at this point! |

Still running the stock servo after 7 months. Providing your moving at least a little it will take a lot of strain off the servo. I'm rough on my stuff and so far it's been fine I have had a micro fail though. |
